Last month, Dodge unveiled the fastest and most powerful full-size SUV at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) considers the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT as the fastest and most capable three-row SUV yet to leave the production line. The latest model also received a balanced package of new exterior and interior features. Dodge enthusiasts can expect a new sportier exterior design to match the new performance features. Immediately noticeable is the smaller grille that’s sports the SRT badge that goes with a larger and wider air dam and dual LED fog lights in each corner. The front fascia has a thin air intake that is almost as wide as the grille. A new hood finishes off the new look with an aggressive but functional intake and heat extractors.
You can’t miss the hand-wrapped and stitched dashboard with white contrast stitching to match the rest of the upholstery. The shift control knob is replaced by a T-handle shifter, and the center console is now accented by glossy black chrome. The hub of the steering wheel also features an SRT logo. The instrument cluster is updated to include SRT graphics and a 180-mph speedometer.
The Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Chandler, Arizona, is the Official High Performance Driving School of Dodge/SRT. All customers who buy a new Durango SRT will be fortunate enough to receive one full-day session of high-performance driving with professional instruction as well as time on the track as part of the Dodge SRT package.
